We currently have Purple Martin colonies at Eastside Elementary School, Live Oak High School, Tanglewood Elementary School, Villa Del Rey Magnet School and Southeastern Louisiana University-Livingston. We offer assistance and advice on colony maintenance as well as educational activities for the students regarding Purple Martins and birding.
Additionally, we have established colonies in area parks and public venues. North Park in Denham Springs, LA is our largest colony.
We look forward to expanding our efforts and teaching the staff and students about Purple Martins.

PMCI sets up booths at community nature events to spread the news about Purple Martins. Examples include the Baton Rouge Earth Day St. Bernard Bird Festival, and the Big Branch Wild Things Annual Event.
We sponsor an annual nature event every spring at PARDS North Park in Denham Springs, LA. Other organizations involved in wildlife and gardening are invited to participate with us.
