Carol and Andrew Stamm have appealed their case to the 24th JDC. Their appeal will be heard before Judge Stephen Enright on Dec 2, 2026, at 9am, in the Gretna Courthouse at 200 Derbigny Street. It is a trial de novo––a full trial without a jury with sworn testimony and records. The Stamms will need the Purple Martin supporters, decked out in purple clothing and hats, to observe the proceedings.
Also, on Sep 23, 2026 at 9am, Judge Enright will hear any pre-trial motions filed by the parties. For the Stamms, these motions will address several issues including double jeopardy since the Harahan trial this past March 25th was the third time the Stamms had been before the court on the exact same charge. It would be great if supporters could appear for that hearing as well. Mark your calendar for both dates.
Finally, if you haven’t yet, please use the platform below to send a letter to the mayor of Harahan asking him to drop the case. Mayor Tim Baudier has the power to do this at any time.

The Stamms thank everyone for their support! It's very much appreciated.
